Sprouting cup for mucilaginous type seeds
On contact with water, some seeds (such as basil seeds, rocket seeds, cress seeds, flax seeds, yellow mustard, chia seeds, perilla seeds, purslane seeds, camelina...) develop a slimy and sticky film which is called mucilage. These seeds cannot be sprouted in traditional sprouters. You will, however, be able to obtain excellent results using the Germline sprouting cup.
Be patient: germination and greening take at least 7 days. You need to harvest the green sprouts; the roots are usually discarded.
Well executed, the Germline sprouting cup wil be aesthetic, wherever you place it in your house.
See instructions on the picture aside.
Prior soaking time is very short: : 15 minutes in a glass of water.
Don’t overload the tray with seeds; remember they’ll increase in volume (2 to 4 times). In most cases, one spoonful is enough.
Avoid double layers of seeds, otherwise they’ll lack air and germination won’t work.
